1. Who we are

"We" refers to the operators of nursinghomeviolations.com (the "Site"). Contact: privacy@nursinghomeviolations.com.

2. Information we collect

a. Information you submit voluntarily

When you submit a consultation request, we collect the fields you provide — name, email address, phone number, free-text details, and contextual metadata (the facility page you were on, referring URL, user agent). We retain this in a secured database for the purpose of matching you with one or more plaintiff attorneys in our network.

b. Automatically collected information

  • Google Analytics 4 — records page views, referring URL, anonymized IP, browser, device category, rough geography, and events like search queries and form submissions.
  • Google Tag Manager — loads supplementary measurement tags in accordance with the Site's tagging configuration.
  • Server logs — our host records IP address, user agent, and request path. Used for security and diagnostic purposes and retained for up to 30 days.

c. Cookies

Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager set cookies in your browser. These cookies enable counting unique visitors and cross-page event attribution. You can disable cookies in your browser settings or install a browser extension like Google Analytics Opt-Out. Doing so will not affect your ability to read any page on the Site.

3. How we use information

  • To deliver your consultation request to one or more participating attorneys.
  • To measure Site usage in aggregate and improve content and performance.
  • To detect and prevent abuse, spam, and technical attacks.
  • To comply with applicable law and respond to lawful requests.

4. Who we share it with

We share consultation-form submissions with plaintiff attorneys in our referral network who handle nursing-home abuse and neglect matters in the applicable jurisdiction. Each receiving attorney is contractually bound to keep the submission confidential and to use it only to evaluate and discuss the matter with you.

We share aggregated, anonymized analytics with Google (the processor) via Google Analytics 4. We do not sell personal information and we do not share personal information with advertising networks for cross-site behavioral advertising.

5. Data retention

  • Consultation submissions: retained for up to 24 months, then purged or anonymized unless needed for an ongoing matter.
  • Analytics events: retained according to the default retention period in Google Analytics 4 (14 months at the time of writing).
  • Server logs: up to 30 days.

6. Your rights

California residents (CCPA / CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we have collected about you, the right to request deletion, the right to correct inaccurate data, and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information. To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@nursinghomeviolations.com.

EU / UK residents (GDPR / UK-GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection concerning your personal data. Our legal basis for processing is your consent (consultation form) and our legitimate interest in operating and improving the Site (analytics).

All visitors

You may request deletion of your submitted consultation data at any time by emailing privacy@nursinghomeviolations.com. We will honor verified requests within 30 days.

7. Security

We use TLS (HTTPS) for all page and form traffic. Consultation data is stored in a database accessible only to the Site's operators and the participating attorneys. No online system is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee absolute protection.

8. Children

The Site is intended for adult family members and legal professionals. It is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 16.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of the Site after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
